The mission of the Sunshine Social Club is to empower adults with intellectual disabilities, who have goals for supported or independent living, by creating social, educational and community opportunities. The Sunshine Social Club serves adults with intellectual disabilities who have the goal for supported and/or independent living in the greater Central Indiana area.
March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. The 21st day of the 3rd month was selected as Down Syndrome Day as a way to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.
